You’ve got your footage – now it’s time to edit! Our multimedia lab has all the tools you need, whether you’re editing a video, photo slideshow, or audio piece. (And don’t forget – we offer editing classes and one-on-one coaching.)
How can I get my message out to the world?
Whether you would like to document an event, create a program series, a documentary, or a public service announcement, CMAP is here to help! Here are the steps you can take:
1. Become a member.
2. Take a class and become certified to reserve equipment.
3. Record and create your message.
4. Submit your content for air.
Do I need to be a member to rent equipment?
No! CMAP offers commercial equipment rentals and paid productions at a fraction of the cost of traditional commercial rental or production. However, members can take classes that certify them the reserve our equipment for free, or heavily discounted rates. Members also get the benefit of airing their content through CMAP distribution channels.

How do I submit a show I already created?
Only CMAP members are guaranteed to have their content aired on our distribution channels. If you are not using CMAP’s equipment or facilities to create your show, you can submit your content as an Affiliate member. You can sign up as an Affiliate Member here, and sending us a signed version of the Statement of Compliance form.

CMAP’s Basic Equipment class teaches members how to use our user-friendly, high-definition cameras, tripods and accessories. Learn the basics of set-up and composition, and how to record both on-set and in the field. This class certifies you to check-out basic equipment free of charge!

You must get certification to use studio through our Studio Producers Class. We also offer commercial rental of the studio which requires no certification.
