Executive DirectorBecca King Reed has an award-winning background as an executive producer of television magazine shows, news programs and documentaries. Prior to joining CMAP, she spent 6 years supervising the day-to-day operations of public television station, KQED Silicon Valley (formerly KTEH) which included fund-raising, community involvement, and leading the editorial team. Raul is a strategist, storyteller, and designer who strives in community engagement. He obtained a bachelors degree from the University of California- Riverside in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. During his undergrad he studied Global Emerging Markets at Fudan University in Shanghai, China. Previously, he’s worked at the Community Foundation for San Benito County as a Digital Media Specialist. Raul is a San Benito County native.
Youth Media Instructor
Tim Olimpio spends most of his days teaching audio engineering at various alternative high schools. He also leads after-school programs designed to empower at-risk youth with technical skills and positive self-expression through the craft of music recording and writing. Tim’s 10+ years of experience includes: professional studio internships, running and operating his own recording studio, video production, developing youth programs, and trying to find time to create his own art. As an artist, Tim understands the personal and communal growth that music and art can facilitate, and wishes to spread this passion with youth in our communities.
John manages day-to-day operations at CMAP. He also works with the Communities we serve to build partnerships that support our mission and community education opportunities. Prior to joining CMAP, John worked extensively in the education sector. He has served as a high school social studies teacher, athletic coach, Principal of Mt. Madonna Continuation High School, Principal of South Valley Middle School, as the Founding Principal of Christopher High School, HR Director for Gilroy Unified School District and Superintendent of Schools for San Benito High School District. John has served on the boards of two local nonprofits both as a Board Member and as their President: The Gilroy Gang Task Force and The Gilroy Foundation. Contact John ›
Videographer & Editor
Eugenia joined CMAP in August 2015 after graduating from Cal State Monterey Bay with a BA in Cinematic Arts & Technology. She had the opportunity to write, direct and produce her first short film: HUGO, in 2015, as well as some short school video projects. She is now working with CMAP as a Videographer & Editor. Video Production Technician
Catherine is a Humboldt State graduate. She received her degree in broadcast journalism and has had the pleasure in working for multiple Radio and TV stations. She is from Los Angeles CA but calls Gilroy her home. She hopes to become a reporter one day. She is excited about her chapter here at CMAP and is happy in becoming more involved with her community.
Media Services Coordinator
Josh has 16+ years of experience with community media in the Bay Area. His experience includes everything from pre-production planning to post-production to on-air playback, and everything in between. As an optimist, Josh is one of the easiest people to get along with. He enjoys teaching members of our community how to jump into story telling using modern digital media technologies. He is also a big fan of all things sports, music, and cooking. Contact Josh ›
Since 1994, Denise has had her own accounting and tax practice in Gilroy, California. As an independent business owner, she obtained experience in maintaining monthly accounting records for various companies that include nonprofit organizations, preparing sales & use tax returns, processing payroll and related quarterly returns, as well as assisting individual and corporate clients with tax planning and preparation. Youth Media Makers Intern
Kelley joined the CMAP team in June 2015 and brings many years of knowledge and experience from her previous career in the Learning Development organization at IBM. Kelley is a long standing local resident of Gilroy and enjoys community involvement.
Kelley is currently responsible for the office coordination at CMAP and is happy to be working locally in her community.
Video Production Technician
Leo Romero is a graduate from the Art Institute of Silicon Valley. During his undergrad he studied video, film and game design. Leo’s passion is to tell stories through 3-D characters. A fun fact about Leo is that he loves to draw, read comics, and every once in awhile go on wild adventures.
